REVIVE by Wigence Professional Cream #2 -
For wigs that have been chemically treated, dyed or use proccessed hair.
The treatment is easy to apply and doesn't damage the wig cap or lace top. In fact it is beneficial to the cap as it makes it softer. The treatment lasts for 8 months to a year or more. No special shampoo is required.
This is a professional cream. It is very important to follow all the steps, including the pre and post application instructions to achieve the proper results.
1. You must first lather the wig with a clarifying shampoo very well with a little warm water. Get it to a thick lather. This is to remove all buildup on the hair, like hairsprays, mousses, and gels; minerals in hard water; chlorine and chemicals etc. Allow the shampoo to sit in the hair for a couple of minutes.
2. Wash all shampoo out of the wig with warm water until the water runs clean and there no bubbles on the hair.
3. Towel dry the wig very well before applying the cream. The wig should be damp. Leaving to much water in the wig will dilute the cream.
4. Shake the bottle well before applying. Apply the cream to the wig in sections or completely saturate the wig and cap with the cream. Massage the cream into the hair. The idea is to make sure that all the hair on the wig including the cap gets covered by the cream. (5 -7 minutes of application )
5. Roll up the wig into the cap and let it sit for 20 minutes. Or for better results, place the wig in a sealed airtight bag for an hour. Remove all air pockets.
6. Start brushing the wig, starting from the bottom. You should already see how easy it is to brush out the knots.
7. Wash the cream out of the hair thoroughly with warm water. Until the water runs clear.
8. The total amount of time the cream stays on the hair should not surpass 30 - 35 minutes (or 1.5 hours if placed in a sealed airtight bag) from the time of application to the time of washing it out. Leaving the cream in the hair for longer than the alloted time will not benefit the end result. It will only make it more difficult to remove the excess product, which is a vital factor in achieving great results.
9. Now that the treatment is done and the chemical bonding took place. We must remove all residue and excess product from the hair. This step is very important in order to achieve proper results.
10. Once again you must lather the wig with a clarifying shampoo very well with a little warm water. Get it to a thick lather. This is to remove the excess product from the hair. Allow the shampoo to sit in the hair for a couple of minutes.
11. Wash all shampoo out of the wig with warm water until the water runs clean and there no bubbles on the hair.
12. Apply conditioner, let it sit for 2 minutes, then wash it out and hang the wig to air dry.
